Yeshua did not die for us to be in a constant state of shame. When you live in shame you have not repented of your sins and walk away from them.
Today my wife put it beautifully during our devotional time at breakfast: “To live in shame is to sin without repentance.”
That came directly from the Spirit of Yahweh Himself. What Yeshua actually did was to remove us from the bondage of sin, so we can walk away from it, in “teshuva”.
As with every person Yeshua interacted with while He physically walked this earth. He forgives them of their sins, healed their ailments, and said: “Go and sin no more”. A call for “teshuva”, a 180° turning away from the sin we’ve committed, to do it no more.
Yeshua died on the cross, to forgive our sin, set us free from its bondage, healed our ailments, but then ask contently from us for repentance. If you believe in Yahweh’s promises, and the work completed at the cross by Yeshua, and the empowering strength of the Ruach Ha-Kodesh (Holy Spirit), then “Go and sin no more.”
