Bibles we often use – Episode 1

I don’t consider myself a Bible expert; instead, I trust the Holy Spirit to guide my steps. Through His guidance, He often reveals the correct path and helps us discern truth. When we encounter something that doesn’t align with the overarching narrative—whether due to translation errors or deliberate misinterpretations—we pray to Yahweh and seek His Spirit’s guidance to lead us through the understanding.

I use many different versions because I’ve discovered that, aside from clearly flawed translations, most of the current versions of the Bible aim to provide the closest possible representation of the original texts—whether in Hebrew or Greek. Comparing various versions side by side allows for a more accurate understanding, as it helps to identify the most faithful interpretation of the scriptures.

On this journey, Yahweh has graciously led us to the Legacy Standard Bible. It has become my preferred English translation, although I continue to compare it with other versions to ensure the accuracy and clarity of what I am reading.

What I appreciate most is that the translators did not shy away from controversial choices; they preserved the original wording, including the consistent use of the name Yahweh.

Why Yahweh? Watch the video to find out. I am truly amazed by the Spirit’s presence. I didn’t see this video until yesterday, so after you view it, take a moment to review the accompanying log titled “The Name.

This is the reason I am sharing my thoughts about this Bible Translation.
