Matthew 28:16-20 (TLV)
“Now the eleven disciples went to the Galilee, to the mountain Yeshua had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped; but some wavered. And Yeshua came up to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

This is a challenge for all of us, especially for me. For many years, I thought it was enough to say, “Jesus loves you, come to church,” or ask, “Do you know Jesus?” and leave a tract along the way. But Yeshua didn’t say, “Go let people know about me.” That might start a conversation, but He said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” To do that, I need to learn to be a disciple—a follower, obedient servant, and student—and then pass on what I’ve learned to others. More than that, I must, metaphorically speaking, take on the yoke and teach someone to walk as I’ve learned to walk with my Teacher. That’s the Great Commission. That’s how communities are built on the solid rock foundation of Yeshua our Lord.
